Gayming Pride Parade 2026 | Our Top Picks

For the first time, Summer Game Fest hosted the Gayming Pride Parade, and as a queer guy myself, I was excited to see LGBTIQ+ representation taking centre stage. It was a colourful, joyful celebration of queer developers, stories and games.

So grab your pride flags, dust off your oversized wig, and get ready for one of the zaniest showcases I have covered so far. What I loved most about this showcase was that there truly was something for everyone. It highlighted gaming as an inclusive space, bringing together different voices, experiences, and communities.

Here are the five unapologetically queer games that stole the show.

Wylde Society

Have you ever wanted to live out your best Bridgerton fantasy with a little witchy magic thrown in? Melbourne-based Studio Drydock, the creators of Wylde Flowers, are back with their next cosy adventure, Wylde Society.

You play as socialite Vivian Wylde, who undoubtedly has the most fabulous beehive hairstyle in town, while running a magical boarding house. From decorating rooms to matchmaking guests, there is plenty to keep you busy. Fancy playing cupid? Why not host an elegant tea party and see what sparks fly.

What stood out most to me was the sheer variety of activities. Between practising witchcraft, gathering materials, and conducting séances, Wylde Society looks like the perfect blend of historical period drama and magical mischief.

Tako No Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets

Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets instantly caught this RPG lover’s eye with its gorgeous Game Boy Advance-inspired pixel art. However, as the trailer continued, I realised there was far more going on beneath the surface.

You play as a drag queen investigating a world filled with disappearing wildlife, rising tensions, and mysterious shadow creatures. Along the way, you will battle monsters, explore a heartfelt story, and team up with an octopus companion on a grand adventure.

What really sold me was the sheer personality on display. With more than 50 real-world drag queens to discover and drag competitions to compete in, this looks like a wonderfully zany RPG packed with charm.

Rizz Dungeon Skeleton Key to my Heart

Rizz Dungeon: Skeleton Key to My Heart is the first game that made me feel old rather than nostalgic. Until today, I had successfully avoided using the word “rizz”.

This game looks chaotic in the best way. You play as a hopeless adventurer who survives dangerous dungeons not through strength or skill, but by flirting with monster girls and convincing them to fight for you.

Back at the inn, you can grow closer through sleepovers and heartfelt conversations. Just be careful not to make anyone jealous though, because I definitely do not want to run into an angry ex-girlfriend halfway through a dungeon.

Cute Patoots

Cute Patoots is a charming 2D platforming shooter inspired by classics like Kirby and Mega Man. You play as a non-binary protagonist in a colourful adventure where exploration is rewarded and creatures can be collected with a surprisingly adorable winking mechanic.

What piqued my interest was the vibrant visuals, creative level design, and catchy retro soundtrack. As you explore, you unlock new powers and take on boss battles that gave me serious Mega Man vibes. Beneath the cute exterior, the team is also telling a story about acceptance, emotion, toxic positivity, and emotional perfectionism.

Spill the Beans

Australian studio Mischief Makers is putting a clever twist on the mystery genre with Spill the Beans. Instead of finding the culprit, you are the culprit.

After stealing a secret recipe from the café where you work, you must use persuasion, manipulation, and a little deception to convince everyone else that you are innocent.

What stood out to me was how characters remember your actions and react accordingly. With over 15 different accusation paths to explore, every conversation feels important. It is a cosy mystery with a wonderfully mischievous premise, and I cannot wait to see where it goes.
