The Latin American Games Showcase has shown off a bunch of new and exciting games from Latin American developers, shining a light on their unique talents and world views.
From creepy farming-sims to cosy block builders, a Knight Templar on a crusade to an ‘after-school anime’ inspired RPG. There was plenty to love at the showcase. Here’s my top picks.
Quest Daily’s Top 5 Picks:
Neverway
Are you tired of life-sims that make you feel all warm, cosy and loved? Want to be deeply disturbed and creeped out as you plant crops and go fishing? Neverway has you covered.
You play as Fiona, the newly appointed ‘immortal herald of a dead god’, on the hunt for the nightmare reality Neverway. Part-horror, part life-sim, and part action-RPG; you’ll need to tend to your farm, take on untold horrors in fast-paced combat, and befriend the local inhabitants… Or date them instead!
Neverway doesn’t have a release date just yet, but you can wishlist it now on Steam.

Wander Stars
Retro 90s anime meets turn-based RPG? Say less. The vibes and style are immaculate in Wander Stars, taking me right back to my youth, sitting on the couch watching Dragon Ball Z with a bowl of cereal in my hands.
Aside from the visuals, the games’ biggest point of difference is its innovative turn-based battle system. Instead of choosing an attack from a list of set moves, you’ll instead combine different words to unleash corresponding attacks. Combining SUPER + FAST + KICK will result in a different attack than SPECIAL + FIRE + KICK, and as your spirit level increases you can string together more words for more powerful attacks. It sounds like a pretty unique system!
If (like me) this is extremely your shit, you won’t have long to wait at all, it’s out on August 2nd for PC and Nintendo Switch. Go wishlist it!
Bogdan’s Cross
You are Bogdan, a lowly shepherd turned hero of the Knights Templar, on an epic crusade across foreign lands and fierce battlefields… You’re also an anthropomorphic bear! I don’t know what it is about animals doing human things, but it draws me in every time! But don’t let the cute critters fool you, Bogdan’s Cross looks to be a dark tale full of internal struggles, hardship, and ruthless combat.
The trailer felt more like a tease for an epic medieval war movie than a video game. The inspirational narration, ethereal song, and intensely serious tone had me glued to my screen. This is one action-adventure I’ll be keeping an eye on!
Bogdan’s Cross is aiming for a 2026 release on PC.

Gaucho and the Grassland
Become a Latin cowboy, trek the vast wilderness on your horse, and tend to your livestock in Gaucho and the Grassland. This farming-sim adventure puts the focus on taking care of animals over sowing seeds and growing crops. Build shelters so your animals are comfy and cosy, collect resources from them like wool and milk, and even breed them to increase your stock numbers.
As Gaucho, you’ll not only have to help the locals out with their problems, but also mystical beings from Latin folklore too! Saddle up and gallop into the sunset in Gaucho and the Grassland, set to come to pretty much every current gaming platform on July 16th.
Block Block Block
Sometimes after a long hard day of work, you just want to come home and design a cosy little area out of wooden blocks y’know? Block Block Block gives you the creative freedom to do just that, with a huge array of tools at your disposal to get your nook picture perfect.
The game aims to make sandbox design effortless, with intuitive drag-and-drop tools, because the last thing you need when you’re trying to relax is more stress. You can stack, arrange, rotate, duplicate, and scale items however you please — then personalise your designs even further with the ability to change wood colours or add a layer of paint on top.
Block Block Block will release on Steam sometime in the future.
