The MIX Summer Game Showcase 2026 really lived up to its name, thrusting a wide range of games into the spotlight. From platformers to horror and everything in-between, it was enough to give you whiplash!
While many of the indie games on show don’t yet have release dates, if you like what you see give them a wishlist! Wishlisting can help developers secure funding and publishing partners… Plus it’s just a great way to keep track of games you like the look of!
Here are our favourites from the MIX Summer Showcase.
Oh My Doug!
Metroidvania Oh My Doug! gives creepy 90s cartoon energy! You journey through the body of a seriously unhealthy dude, trying to survive the mini-apocalypse happening inside his body. Explore wacky and colourful locations — like a cemetery in the lower bowel — and fight enemies with a range of weird tools and weapons — like a squid’s butt flamethrower!
Just maybe don’t think too much about the fact you’re playing on the INSIDE of someone’s body… Gross.
Oh My Doug! is set to release on PC and consoles in 2027.
Meadgard
Ever thought it was a good idea to run a business with your friends? Well, you can put your money where your mouth is with Meadgard, a multiplayer tavern management game. Hunt mythical beasts and gather ingredients during the day, then cook, serve and entertain your tavern patrons at night.
Put your teamwork (and friendships) to the test, impress the gods, and prove you and your viking pals are worthy of Valhalla.
Meadgard is coming to PC in late 2026.
Pale Tide
Pale Tide is a top-down zombie extraction shooter that has you scavenging resources alongside an adorable canine companion. Calling a hidden bunker home, you venture into the apocalyptic outside to fight zombies, rescue survivors, and plan your escape form the undead-flooded region.
The further you venture, the better loot you’ll find… But also greater danger, push too far and you may end up food for the infected! Looks like adrenaline pumping fun!
Pale Tide is coming to PC some time in the future.
Cordura
Multiplayer horror, Cordura, has players take on a Victorian labyrinth where the environment is always changing. Survive the corrupted maze to collect the Roses of the Night, before the mimic lures you to certain death.
Teamwork is key to survival, and you use proximity chat to communicate… But your team mates aren’t the only ones listening. The game records your friends voices and mimics them back to you, in an attempt to lure you into the abyss! Oh and there’s permadeath… Just to ratchet that fear and tension to the max!
While undated, Cordura is set to come to PC and PlayStation.
