We all knew this was coming, but honestly, I couldn’t have expected this level of EPIC creativity a week out from early access and only two days since the official international launch of Starfield.
There has been a supernova of increidble ship builds. In fact, there is already a subreddit called r/StarfieldShips where players have been absolutely smashing out practical, weird and wonderful designs. The group of inspiring shipbuilders have recreated famous sci-fi ships like the Millennium Falcon and the U.S.S. Voyager — it’s also brought with it some pretty epic memes.

It’s also important to note that while some of these builds are totally achievable in-game with a lot of patience, some of these particularly creative submissions may be using mods to achieve them. With Nexus Mods currently hosting 908 Starfield mods, there are a few ship-building-specific mods that increase the overlap tolerance in the ship-builder, smaller snapping distances and more floors, and in general remove some limits of the builder to create larger, more elaborate, and more specifically shaped ships that still work.
Good news, everyone! Not only has u/SP7R on Reddit figured out HOW to build the Planet Express ship from Futurama, but they’ve also shared their exact process of building it for everyone to follow. Neat.

No one asked for it, but here is an amazing recreation of The Magic School Bus, which is really something I didn’t know I needed in my life. Now I’m desperately trying to figure out how to replicate it. This one was also created and shared by u/SP7R on Reddit.
And I think we ALL knew this build was coming… But I don’t think we expected it so soon — and so perfectly. The perspective shot on New Atlantis really is something. Now all we need is a mod that adds in a bass-boosted Thomas the Tank Engine theme song for when you land and take off.

There is no shortage of this hilarious and epic creativity. I simply cannot wait for the endless videos and posts showing off builds that really show off what this game can do… Or perhaps what modding can make this game do.
