Aussies are still playing catch up with Disney Lorcana, with one more set to release before we’re in line with the USA. Into the Inklands launched this week, Ursula’s Return is coming next week… Then, at long last, Shimming Skies will release on August 9th and bring us all together.

This week, Disney Lorcana shared a fresh look at four new cards coming in the Shimmering Skies set, including a four Lore, Ward, 6/6 Robin Hood for Nine Ink. Robin Hood is a beast of a card, especially with his ability to cost less to play if opponents are damaged.

Ludwig Von Drake costs just five Ink to play and can quest for three Lore – he’s also got a bit of grunt behind him with 4/4! Aussie artist Matt Chapman is behind the design of this one, and it’s one of my personal favourites from the upcoming set. Can’t wait to get my hands on this “Self-Proclaimed Genius”.
Also unveiled was Luisa Madrigal, and she will be a tough card to beat! Able to quest for three, Luisa has eight Willpower and costs just six Ink to play – I’m holding out for some more Madrigal synergy!

We also learned of a new action card “Tug-Of-War”, featuring a tough looking Tinkerbell. This card allows you to damage multiple opposing characters, with differing damage amounts depending on if they’re evasive or not.
More details on Shimmering Skies are expected in the coming weeks. Until then, there’s plenty for Australians to enjoy, especially with Into The Inklands out now and Ursula’s Return on the way.
