Kicking off PAX Australia 2023, fans of The Elder Scrolls Online were transported to the world of Tamriel with a cosy Necrom-themed Bethesda community event (yes I said “cosy” and “Necrom” in the same sentence).
Attendees were greeted with variously sized toadstools and moss sprinkled throughout Melbourne’s Southbank Cargo Hall, creating an enchanting scene for fantasy lovers. The generous open bar and an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord of fruit, roasted veg, deli meats, and so very many cheeses; was enough to satisfy even a Daedric Prince. The chef of the gourmet burger and mini-hot dog bar, was quite enthusiastic about their plant-based sloppy “jarls”, which were absolutely delicious!

The venue brought back a popular photo-op from Bethesda’s Starfield launch party in Sydney. The secret infinity room was this time filled with green hanging lights and towers of ominous looking books (likely filled with dark knowledge Hermaeus Mora himself).
However, the highlight of the evening was the amazing team of seamstresses who spent the night sewing ESO themed patches onto items brought by guests (or onto a Bethesda tote bag provided by the event). By the end of the night, the table was also commandeered by a member of the Church of the Holy Sweet Roll, spreading the good word and encouraging guests to create their own unique beaded necklaces.
It was a truly magical night in Tamriel.
