In Mindcop, Mindsurfing is a key element of the game that requires you to use your special powers to explore characters’ thoughts and feelings to solve the Merrilyn Crater Camp murder. How do you Mindsurf you ask? By staring deep into someone else’s eyes. While you can do this to all the human characters, it’s also possible to do this to the two four-legged characters featured in-game.
Finding and Mindsurfing the dog is easy enough. He’s sleeping at Olivia and Sean’s house in the living room. You just need to make sure your Mindbullets are at a sufficient level to attempt a surf. Finding the cat, however, requires certain steps and takes a bit more time, which I figured out after my fifth playthrough.

Head To The Gift Shop
First off, you need to visit the Gift Shop next to the Bombo attraction. It’s on the right of the crime scene i.e. Rebecca and Adam’s house. Once inside, you’ll have to investigate this cat bowl up on the shelf. Mindcop will then mention that we need to find food to see if we can lure the pet back in.
Friday, Friday, Gotta Get Down On Friday
Once you get to Friday, you’ll be able to see the cat on top of the Gift Shop after you’ve done some exploring. Mindcop will try to interact with it, unsuccessfully though, which brings you to the next step. The Black Cat will also appear as a Topic you can discuss with other characters.

Get A Search Warrant For Olivia And Sean’s House
Emilia at the police station can help you get search warrants for each home, which can only be used once. Enter their home and use the search warrant. Make sure you’ve interacted with the cat bowl before doing this.
Check Out Their Kitchen
Head to Olivia and Sean’s kitchen and interact with this cupboard in the middle. Mindcop should then find the canned cat food and take a tin.

Fill The Bowl
Once you’ve got the tin, head back to the Gift Shop and fill the bowl. The cat should appear after a quick dialogue. Then you can Mindsurf away! I’d recommend ensuring your Mindbullets are well upgraded to ensure you can tackle the cat properly.
