How to Unlock the Barn Mission
Head to Mima’s ranch to begin your barn building journey. You can rely on her as your main contact for all things animal related. Speak with her to unlock the quest “Get a House for Animals.” Once activated, this quest will guide you through the steps to create the perfect home for your barnyard buddies.

Meet with Hannah
Next, visit Hannah, the town’s expert craftsperson, to learn what you’ll need to build your barn. During this step, she’ll provide you with a list of required materials and let you know the cost of her services. While no payment is needed yet, this information is essential to prepare for the mission ahead.

Collect, Collect and Craft
Now’s the time to explore the open world of Everholm and start gathering materials for your barn.
What you’ll need:
- 50 x pieces of wood
- 20 x pieces of hardwood
- 50 x stones
- 20 x crafted boards
Make sure your axe is sharpened, and your crafting bench is ready before setting out. Use your handy guide to track your progress, and once you’ve collected everything, return to Hannah to take the next step in expanding your farm!
It’s Time to Pay Up and Build!
With all the materials gathered, it’s time to pay! The barn will set you back $33,500. That said, Hannah’s expertise ensures your barn will be ready in no time. Once it’s built, head back to your farm and decide on the perfect spot to place your new building.
Cows, Pigs, Sheep – Oh My!
With your barn in place, return to Mima to share the good news and buy your first animal. A cow will cost you $4,800, while a sheep is priced at $8,200, pick whichever suits your farm best. Once you’ve made your choice, guide your new friend to its comfy barn and get them settled in. Remember to stock up on hay and shower your animal with love to keep it happy.
Now, get ready to repeat this process for the Chicken Coop! Hopefully, you’ve been selling your crops because these prices are no joke.
