LATEST: Video games releasing in January 2025
Here are our most anticipated games releasing in December 2024:
Infinity Nikki
Open-world adventure Infinity Nikki looks to be pure joy and whimsy. Explore the cheery world of Miraland — as both Nikki and her feline friend Momo — that’s filled with platforming, puzzles, mini-games and opportunities to dress-up. Swapping dresses isn’t just for fashion either; Nikki’s different ability outfits come with their own benefits, such as gliding around the world and purifying enemies. Activities like fishing, grooming animals and fashion contests are also set to delight players.
It’s the fifth installment in the Nikki franchise and the first to spread its wings from the mobile space and launch on PlayStation and PC too. The free to play game already has 30 million people pre-registered to play… Actually, that 30 million and 2 players; With its stunning world, cosy exploration and 3D platforming elements, Infinity Nikki looks like the perfect game for me to play through with my five year old daughter.
Look for Infinity Nikki on December 5th for PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
Symphonia
A mechanical world powered by musical energy has fallen into silence after the disappearance of the world’s musicians. In the non-violent platformer Symphonia, you play as Philemon, a mysterious musician tasked with locating and reforming the missing orchestra once more.
Your violin is an essential tool for your journey, used to awaken dormant machinery, and propel yourself through perilous platforming challenges.
With a period soundtrack hand crafted by composer Olivier Esman and performed by the Scoring Orchestra Paris, player’s ears are in for a real treat.
Symphonia launches on December 6th for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Rivals will boast a whopping thirty three playable characters by the end of its month-long launch season, each with their own flashy abilities and traversal quirks. Swing around the battlefield as Spidey or just crash into the middle of the action as the Hulk! Not a fan of guns? There are plenty of melee fighters for you to get up close and personal with.
Battle it out on dynamic maps in iconic locations from the Marvel universe, like Wakanda, Tokyo 2099 and a secret Hydra base. Work with your team to perform powerful attacks and lay the smackdown on your rivals.
Assemble your Avengers in Marvel Rivals on December 6th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is inviting gamers to pop on Indiana Jones’ fedora for the first time in over a decade. Armed with quips and a whip, players will travel around the world to uncover a new story, set between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade.

The game’s setting will take you to a nazi occupied Gizeh, in search of an artefact in hidden tombs below the pyramids. You’ll also visit The Vatican, the sunken temples of Sukhothai and more, in this globetrotting action adventure. There’s multiple ways you can tackle missions: wear a disguise, use stealth or go in guns (or fists) blazing.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launches onto Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9th, with a PlayStation 5 version coming sometime next year. We previewed the game last month which you can read here. We’re also currently reviewing the full game — look out for that on Friday, December 6th (pre order access).

With fantastic hand-drawn pixel art and a soundtrack that’ll hit you right in the nostalgia, the side-scrolling 2-D brawler is set to transport you right back to the 90s! There’s also classic arcade driving and shooting sequences, and you’ll even get to pilot the original Dinozords!
