Guide: How to Solve the Moon Puzzle in Allogloom

Stuck on the moon puzzle in Chapter 4 of Allogloom? Never fear — a solution is here! If you’re not one to ponder the phases of the moon, we’ve got you covered.

In Chapter 4, you’ll explore the main part of Gruesome Grove, where blobby monsters have trashed the town. Beyond it, you’ll find the door to the Bone Forest, which everyone is strictly forbidden from entering.

Naturally, we’re going through it anyway.

Before you can open the door, you’ll need to solve two puzzles. The first is pretty straightforward and gives you the key you need to tackle the second: the moon puzzle.

The Bone Forest Arch.

To the left of the Bone Forest door, you’ll find a tree covered in sap in the shape of a heart. There’s a key stuck in the middle, but first, you’ll need to get rid of all that sticky stuff.

Keeeeey.

Pull the branches in order of the number of twigs sticking out from each one. Once you’ve done that, the heart will open and you can grab the key.

Simple enough!

Wanted: Solution to Puzzle.

Now head to the right of the door, where you’ll find a bulletin board covered in flyers. Have a read of the Lunar Calendar, as you’ll need it to solve the puzzle.

Or don’t. We’re about to tell you the answer anyway.

Moon prism power… Make up!

Under the recipe on the bulletin board is a button. Press it to reveal a hidden puzzle behind the board.

The capitalisation helps.

Use the key you found in the tree to unlock it, revealing a circle of moons in different phases. Above the puzzle is a riddle:

Pay close attention to the capitalised words in the clue: New, Waxed, Waned, Waned, Full and First. These tell you the sequence of moon phases you need to press.

Press the moons in the following order:

  1. New Moon — 3 o’clock
  2. Waxing Crescent — 1 or 2 o’clock
  3. Waning Crescent — 4 or 5 o’clock
  4. Waning Gibbous — 7 or 8 o’clock
  5. Full Moon — 9 o’clock
  6. First Quarter — 12 o’clock
Are you in a cult? No idea.

Solve the sequence and you’ll unlock the secret stash, where you’ll find the Glass Cutter along with some more clues about the story.

Happy clicking!
