Last month, Microsoft announced that their long-standing Xbox Live Gold service will be automatically transitioned into Xbox Game Pass Core.
Come September 14, Games with Gold is officially coming to an end.

August marks the final month of the service, and Microsoft has unearthed some final goodies for gamers to enjoy before we say goodbye.
Blue Fire

These two games are available until August 31st for both Xbox Live Gold members and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
If you currently have an Xbox Live Gold subscription, your Xbox Live Gold membership will automatically transition to Xbox Game Pass Core with no change in price, starting from September 14.
Xbox Game Pass Core will continue to provide online console multiplayer, plus access to a new library of over 25 high-quality games from the Game Pass catalog to play on Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One at no additional cost.
Games with Gold will come to an end on September 1st.

You can continue to access any Xbox Games with Gold games previously redeemed while remaining an Xbox Game Pass Core or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member. If you currently have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, you will continue on the same plan.
