There’s a slew of exciting games being marched out this month! From a bumbling cleric CRPG to a cosy-critter town builder, a brace of multiplayer games from PlayStation, and an open-world action game where almost every mechanic under the sun has somehow been squashed in!
Here are our most anticipated games releasing in March 2026:
Esoteric Ebb
One for the tabletop fans out there, Esoteric Ebb is an isometric CRPG where your choices and actions are guided by your characters’ stats and a twenty-sided die. Self-described as a ‘Disco-like’ (named after smash indie hit Disco Elysium), the game promises deep and varied dialogue trees — there’s over 1.25 MILLION written words in the game! This leads to a tonne of choices and consequences. Your different stats literally voice their viewpoints to you, nudging your choices in different directions.
You play as The Cleric, unravelling a political conspiracy within a city in the midst of its first ever election. I’m both drawn in and terrified of games that have seemingly endless choices available to you. The freedom can feel liberating and overwhelming at the same time, but an experience that can be completely different each time you play is immensely appealing.
Esoteric Ebb releases on March 4th for PC.
Pokémon Pokopia
Pokémon meets Dragon Quest Builders in this cosy little life-sim spin-off. Pokopia puts you in the amorphous shoes of a ditto cosplaying as a human. Rebuild a run down Pokémon Center and bring community back to the region.
As you meet and befriend new Pokémon, you’ll learn new abilities to help transform the area: nurturing crops, constructing homes, terraforming the landscape. If you’re feeling social, you can even visit a friend’s island and explore with up to three others and play the Pokémon version of Prop Hunt — minus the semi-automatic machine guns!
Pokémon Pokopia hits the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5th.

Marathon
Everything old is new again. Bungie is bringing back long dormant IP Marathon, in what promises to be thrilling PvPvE first-person shooter action!
In the survival extraction game, you pick one of six cybernetically enhanced character classes and drop into the sci-fi world of Tau Ceti IV. Either solo, or part of a small crew, you’ll scavenge loot while fighting off AI controlled security and rival players alike. Then, get out alive with your loot to fight another day!
Bungie have created juggernaut franchises before in Halo and Destiny, only time will tell if Marathon can grow to become another.
Marathon is set to release on the 6th of March for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. There’s currently a ‘server slam’ ongoing that you can jump in and try for free until 5am on March 3rd.
Ghost of Yōtei: Legends
If you’re itching for more of the vengeful onryō action that Ghost of Yōtei brought last year, DLC Legends has you covered. The online co-op multiplayer mode has you taking on monstrous versions of the Yōtei Six… I guess the Oni will finally live up to his moniker!
In Legends, you can link up with your mates, picking one of four classes: Samurai, Archer, Mercenary, or Shinobi. Each class will have different strengths, armour, and weapon proficiencies. You can jump into three mission types; Story, Survival, and Incursion, with more content like raid events to come in the future.
Ghost of Yōtei: Legends releases on the PlayStation 5, as free DLC for Ghost of Yōtei owners, on March 11th.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
Riders mount your rathalos’, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is mere weeks away! The third entry in the spin-off series follows the entwined fates of two rathalos hatchlings born from the same egg, and two countries on the brink of war.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 is a turn-based RPG meets monster tamer where you catch, raise, and battle with a team of monsters. The cartoonish open-world has plenty of NPCs, monster dens, and secrets to uncover; you’ll need a diverse team of flying, climbing and swimming monsters to explore it all.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is coming to PlayStation 5, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S on March 13th. There’s also a demo available on all platforms.
Crimson Desert
It’s the game that seemingly has everything, but don’t call it an RPG! Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure more akin to Elden Ring or The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
There’s dozens upon dozens of features that’ve been hinted at in trailers, like bounty hunting, fishing, and hot-air balloon riding! Combat looks to be an eclectic mix of swords, sorcery, wrestling; the three playable characters each with their own distinct combat styles. Exploring also looks incredible, you can race around on the backs of horses, wolves, dragons and more… There’s even a Spider-Man like grapple-swing!
GOTY contender Crimson Desert hits PlayStation 5, PC and Xbox Series X|S on March 20th.
