Pokémon Sleep is out now in Australia and New Zealand, it’s a free to download mobile app used to track your sleep data.
How does it work?
As you sleep at night, your sleep will be recorded and then categorized into three stages: Dozing, Snoozing and Slumbering. It tracks quite a decent amount of information from sleep duration, to the amount of time you spent dozing – even tracking audio recordings to hear your sleep-talking shenanigans!
The fun in this app is as you sleep, you fill up your “sleep style dex” – your own Pokédex based on how you sleep! Each species of Pokémon have different styles of sleep that you can discover, purely by the more you sleep. Who would have thought completing a Pokédex would be this easy?

Throughout the day you can interact with Snorlax by giving him berries and other foods and drinks to increase his strength. This is important to do because once you’ve tracked your sleep for the night and get a sleep score, you can combine that score plus Snorlax’s strength to gain a “Drowsy Power” – which allows more Pokémon to gather.
Each week, you’ll be partnered with a Snorlax that will grow over time and help you discover these rare sleep styles. Regular sleep = discovery of rare sleep styles.
It’s important to note that it will require your phone to be on and near your pillow to track your sleep. When you have it plugged into your charger, it is recommended not to put your phone under your pillow or blankets in case it overheats (user caution is advised).
