Fancy yourself a planetary explorer? In StarRupture, you’re exiled to a hostile, ever-changing planet named Arcadia-7. The idea is to assist the many space companies by mining resources, building habitats, and surviving — it’s very in tune with Satisfactory and Factorio, but easily stands on it’s own.
Out now in early access, there’s still plenty of fun to be had and areas to explore. It’s a well polished game in its current state. It’s also co-op, so grab a friend (or three) and get out there.
How to access underground caves in StarRupture
Throughout the map, there’s many of these underground caves that are seemingly inaccessible — no matter how many times you shoot them.
The way to access them is to simply wait for the right moment. The next planetary rupture will burn them right open!

Climb down into the cave and you’ll be treated to some mineable Quartz, which is used for some premium upgrades. As well as a plant species named Glowcap, a glowing type of fungi that can be used in recipes.

How often do ruptures occur in StarRupture?
Rupture waves have a recurring cycle of about 53 minutes. They feature a two minute warning, allowing you to get to safety before being incinerated.
If you’re exploring deep into the map, I’d recommend taking a meteor heart and building materials with you to construct an urgent base core, habitat and airlock.
Good luck out there, Arcadia-7 explorers.
StarRupture is out now in early access on PC via Steam. Their roadmap suggests there’s plenty more exciting things on the horizon, so stay tuned.
