The Crimson Dye Merchant is one of the most unique vendor’s in Ghost of Yōtei, and how you access their goods is just as special.
Along the west coast of the Ishikari Plain, a vessel can be seen a distance away on the water. It’s too far to swim, so you’ll need to call it in.

Don’t try shooting fire arrows into the sky like I did, the solution is far more simple.

Head to Crimson Dye beach. Build a fire at the campsite next to the crimson dye pit and the dye merchant will make a spectacular entrance.
When I arrived, The Crimson Dye Merchant sold three weapon kits for your katana. Obviously, the further you are in the game the more items will be available.

They each cost 15 flowers. Also available is an Eternal Coal Hat for three flowers, a mask that matches the merchant’s for four flowers and three new armour dyes — each costing 15 flowers.

You can also purchase various resources and sell to the Crimson Merchant. The armour dyes look great – worth grabbing as soon as you can. The merchant will also sell more gear as you unlock it, check back later!
