From Comfy Gamer to Mojo Dojo Casa House: Do The Sims 4’s New Kits Deliver?

My career in gaming was first inspired by watching The Sims 4 creators on YouTube. It stirred a fire within me that would eventually evolve from an idea, to a channel, to a full-time career in the video game industry.

The Sims 4 community is made up of two kinds of people: those that love to play the game, and those that love to build in it. I fall into the latter category.

So when EA launched three new items kits — Comfy Gamer, Sanctuary and Casanova Cave — I knew I just had to check them out.

Comfy Gamer Kit

I recreated my IRL gaming room using only Base Game and Comfy Gamer Kit objects. I was not disappointed.

This kit is predominantly designed for building, which is an immediate tick in my book. It contains more furniture items than the other Kits in this list, so if building is your thing you’ll get more value for money here. My favourite addition includes the decorative shelving items that really bring a lived-in feel to any space, of which this kit contains many.

From stacks of your favourite games to headphones and even controllers, there is a lot to customise your gaming space. However, I felt that a lot of the objects were quite small I had to size the objects up using the square bracket keys in order to make them properly fill the space on a shelf. Most of the objects scale fairly well, so this was not too concerning.

Sims Forever! Collectible Art Prints

“These rare and collectible art prints are guaranteed to show off your love for some of your favourite games! Pick your favourite cover and display it with pride.”

Simception! Please, EA and Maxis… Give me the original Sims for modern PCs I beg you.

Secret Sanctuary Kit

Why do I feel like this gramophone is summoning me to Vecna’s realm?

One of the best things about the Secret Sanctuary Kit is that it contains colour swatches that actually work very well with Base Game objects. I felt like I could really tie the room together and create a parlour fit for any introverted book fiend. A lot of the furniture items have a chic feel to them that would work really well in any eclectic interior.

This collection falls into a rather niche category that was already targeted with previous add-on content, Vintage Glamour Stuff. It’s a great purchase for those who absolutely live and breathe that style. It also comes with a couple of nice pieces of formal wear if you’re looking to boost your Sim’s fashion game.

Echoes of Elegance Gramophone

“Step into an era of elegance with the Echoes of Elegance Gramophone and lose yourself in the moody melodies of your favourite music.”

Maxis really did just write poetry. They didn’t have to, but they did. They did it for us.

Casanova Cave Kit

This bachelor pad is ready for the next big sports game or Bond movie.

While the Casanova Cave Kit does not contain many build items, the items it does contain are absolutely stunning. Each furniture piece ties really well with packs that already exist (though for the purposes of this feature I limited myself to only Base Game building). This set also fills a niche that I think sometimes gets left behind a little; the masculine audience.

My only gripe with this kit is that The TitanScreen 5000 television and The Zenith Wall Unit look like they are meant to clip together, but they don’t. I’d recommend using cheats to move them into position as seen in the image above. It’s worth doing though, because it makes a schmick living room space for your casanova.

High Stakes Card Table

“Imagine the thrill of a high-stakes card game: the tension rises as players gather around, eyes locked, with the stakes higher than ever. With every turn of the card, the room buzzes with excitement, the table witnessing both triumphs and defeats.”

You thought the last description was poetry. This one is an Epic that could rival Beowulf.

The TL;DR

The kits are quite niche, offering something fresh for a variety of gamers, tailoring your Sims gaming experience to your liking. Searching for an in-game a streaming PC set-up or a poetic card table? One of these kits is for you.

The Sims 4 Comfy Gamer Kit, Secret Sanctuary Kit, and Casanova Cave Kit are available now on the EA Store, Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, and Xbox. They retail for around $7.95 each.

The new kits for The Sims 4 were supplied to Quest Daily by EA for the purposes of this article.
