Preview | Two Point Museum ‘Chaotic and Charming’

Two Point Museum invites players to take control of historical discovery, transforming the art of museum management into a chaotic and charming adventure.

From overseeing dig sites to arranging crowd pleasing exhibitions, the game combines strategy with the trademark humour of the Two Point series. Whether you’re unearthing a dinosaur skeleton or debating the placement of a “mildly cursed” artefact, every choice shapes the legacy of your museum.

The more you display at your museum, the more people flock to see.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the expeditions. They’re part Indiana Jones, part dopamine-inducing TCG.

Your experts venture into the unknown to retrieve artefacts, which you get to  excitedly unbox on their return.

The anticipation is electric, it’s loot box system is just like opening up a fresh TCG booster pack.

A Creative Playground

Museums are, by their nature, deeply creative spaces. Two Point Museum significantly steps up the customisation options compared to previous Two Point titles.

Partition walls, dynamic lighting, and thematic decorations let you craft anything from a frozen tundra wing to a chaotic dinosaur playground.

Even with just the demo, I found myself obsessively tweaking every detail — swapping out ferns, repositioning fossils, and experimenting with exhibit layouts.

Exhibit signage and dinosaur footprints help guide visitors to your displays.

The game encourages perfectionists and chaotic creatives alike, and the tools make it easy to build something genuinely unique.

Special mention to the ‘one way doors’ — you could essentially make a maze with these things!

Two Point Charm

Every visitor to your museum brings their own quirks, from botany buffs to dino enthusiasts. Balancing their needs — refreshments, clean bathrooms, and, of course, avoiding sticky fingers on priceless artefacts — is a welcome challenge.

And while meddling thieves are a concern, the real menace is children, whose tiny hands and infinite curiosity can wreak havoc on your carefully curated exhibits… just like in real life!

I was thrilled when a family of “big foot” came to visit my museum.

For fans of Two Point Hospital and Campus, the radio announcements make a triumphant return, blending humour and world-building seamlessly.

One gem I jotted down: “If you’re thousands of years old and covered in amber, please consider donating yourself to the museum.”

It’s peak Two Point charm.

A Museum You’ll Keep Coming Back To

Unlike its predecessors, Two Point Museum encourages you to revisit and refine your locations.

While it’s not something I experienced too much of in the demo, this is one thing that was always on my mind playing Two Point Hospital and Campus — there’s rarely even a need to return. It’s great they’ve addressed this.

Whether you’re upgrading a prehistory expert to tackle a new expedition or discovering synergies between exhibits, the game ensures there’s always something to do.

Fans of the Two Point franchise will find familiar systems here, from quirky staff personalities to unpredictable events. Yet, the museum setting brings a refreshing twist, making it feel less like a spiritual sequel to Two Point Hospital and more like an evolution of the series’ formula.

If our little preview is any indication, Two Point Museum has all the pieces to assemble a hilarious and rewarding experience for fans and newcomers alike. Its release is set to make a big impression — on pedestals and players alike.

Two Point Museum is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on March 4th, 2025.
