Being stalked, watched and anxious has never been so fun. Alien Isolation, the king of horror games, has turned 10 years old —yet we were the ones treated to the birthday present!

Creative Director Al Hope took to X on Tuesday to dedicate a letter to the fans of Alien Isolation, a 2014 survivor horror game that sees the player relentlessly hunted by a xenomorph on the space station Sevastopol. Hope thanked the fans’ dedicated support and mentioned they had heard the ‘distress calls’ loud and clear — and with that, a sequel to Alien Isolation has been announced.
When it comes to sci-fi horror, not much can top the Alien series. In Isolation, you play as engineer Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, on a desperate search for your lost mother. You find yourself coming across claustrophobic vent crawling, unfriendly Working Joes and the feeling of being constantly watched by a creature you can’t defend yourself against.

Alien Isolation is one of those titles every gaming fan should switch on, horror fan or not. If not for the stunning visuals, come for the continuation of the legendary Alien adventure.
There’s no release date set, but we’ll get more info when Al Hope and the team are ready. I’d suggest we’d be waiting until at least 2026, but phenomenal things take time and I’m more than okay with that.
