I know — that’s probably the weirdest headline I’ve ever written. But it fits perfectly for DAMON and BABY, the new action-adventure-exploration-shooter from Arc System Works, revealed during State of Play Japan.
Honestly, it gave me big cartoon rogue-lite vibes — think a more chaotic, comic-book take on CAPCOM’s Pragamata (which is also due in 2026). In DAMON and BABY, you play as Damon, a cursed demon king embarking on an adventure with a human child. Why? Who knows. We’ll have to wait and see.

The game features twin-stick shooter combat, blending top-down and side-scrolling platforming perspectives. DAMON and BABY will launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in early 2026. You can wishlist it on Steam now.
