Like wearing a fluffy cloud on your head, the Sonos Ace headphones redefine comfort with their memory foam ear cups and cushioned headband. These are, without a doubt, the most comfortable headphones I’ve ever used.
The sleek, simple design with a beautiful matte finish makes them an aesthetic delight. Hardly noticeable on my head, weighing in at 312 grams, about 80 grams lighter than Apple’s AirPods Max. After a few weeks of daily use, I can’t imagine my morning commute without them.

The content key, a smart control switch on the right earphone, is intuitive and satisfying to use, sliding to adjust volume and pressing to play or pause. With a 30-hour battery life, I find myself charging them less than once a week – if that.

Sonos Ace delivers exceptional sound quality, immersing me daily in the dulcet tones of Post Malone and the latest from Billy Eilish. The Ace is my new favourite musical companion.

While the noise cancelling is effective, they’re not completely soundproof. My go to gaming headphones, SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, offer better noise cancellation at a similar price point. That said, the Sonos Ace still does the job.

Phone calls are seamless, although the microphone could be clearer. The audio quality is decent on my end, but the receiver’s audio leaves something to be desired. While it’s fine for casual conversations, don’t expect crystal clear call quality, especially in noisier environments. This is one area where the headphones could use some improvement to match their otherwise stellar performance.

At $699, they’re a premium investment, but one that pays off with every use. The included travel case, despite a slightly fiddly zipper, adds to the package, along with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to 3.5 mm cable.
