After what felt like a month with more video game showcases than notable game releases, July is here to right the ship. A remake of one of the best pirate games of all time AND a remake of the game that put XBOX on the map! There’s also vampire vegetable growing, element-bending battles, splattering skirmishes, and an answer to the question “Extraction + Souls = ???“.
Here are our most anticipated games releasing in July 2026:
Moonlight Peaks
A life sim, but make it spooky; Moonlight Peaks ‘reVamps’ the cosy farming trope into something to bat an eye at! Being a vampire, you only come out at night; managing the family farm and helping out in the town… Just be sure to be back in your coffin by sun-up!
The titular town is populated with witches, werewolves, and other monsters to befriend and even romance. There are plenty of magical features to sink your teeth into, including spell-casting, shape-shifting, potion-brewing, and growing mystical crops, alongside more Muggle-like activities such as fishing and flower arranging.
If you’re dying for a new life sim with a fang-tastially cute art-style, this might just be love at first bite! Moonlight Peaks releases on July 8th for Nintendo Switch and PC.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
Weigh anchor, unfurl the sails, and bring me that horizon: Edward Kenway is back. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a remake of what many consider to be the pinnacle of the series, 2013’s Assassin’s Creed Black Flag.
Action-packed naval combat on the Caribbean seas, thrilling stealth assassination missions, treacherous treasure hunts — there’s plenty of fun to be had in the Golden Age of Piracy. Looking as shiny as a gold doubloon, the updated graphics, enhanced gameplay, and sprinkling of new content make this one boat ride you won’t want to miss.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced sails into living rooms on July 10th for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game
One of THE BEST animated series ever is back as a 2D multiplayer fighter. Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game pits your favourite characters against each other in furious elemental-bending action.
The art-style of the 1v1 fighter looks right out of the cartoon itself, with plenty of flashy attacks unleashing the powers of Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. Ever wanted to pit Avatar Aang against Avatar Korra? Take the sibling rivalry to the extreme with Zuko vs Azula or Katara vs Sokka? Now you can!
Enter the Avatar state when Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game launches on July 23rd, for PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Splatoon Raiders
Splatoon Raiders leans out of its PVP objective-shooter comfort zone and into the realm of Action-Adventure… With a bit of extraction-shooter flavour for good measure. You play as ‘The Mechanic’ raiding the Spirhalite Islands to hunt down treasure.
Gear-up with an arsenal of ink-loaded weapons and gadgets to take on waves of salmon-like enemies, before looting and extracting to camp to upgrade your gear. Up to three other players — either online or local — can join in on the fun too! It’s colourful, it’s familiar, it looks like a whole heap of family-friendly fun.
Splatoon Raiders hits the Nintendo Switch 2 with a splat on July 23rd.
Halo: Campaign Evolved
Another giant remake for the month, Halo: Campaign Evolved, brings fans back to where it all began. Focusing on the main campaign of Halo: Combat Evolved, rebuilding and refining it to fit the modern era. There’s also three brand new missions featuring Chief and Sgt. Johnson.
There’ll be an expanded array of enemies, weapons, and vehicles to play with, as well as gameplay enhancing ‘skulls’. While the remake lacks any sort of PvP, you can still jump into the campaign with your mates via online or local split-screen co-op.
Halo: Campaign Evolved launches onto XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on July 29th.
Mistfall Hunter
If a Souls-like and an extraction shooter had a baby, it would be Mistfall Hunter, and if that sounds like an absurd but badass mix, that’s because it is! The third-person PvPvE extraction ARPG is set in a dark fantasy world, brimming with swords and sorcery combat.
As a Gyldhunter, you and your party travel to Weavereach to collect a resource called Gyldenblood. You’ll need to scavenge for loot, upgrade your gear and weapons, fight for resources, and survive until extraction. If you do fall in battle, there’s a short window for you to reclaim your body and equipment before all is lost.
Mistfall Hunter drops onto PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC on July 30th.
