SXSW Sydney has announced public access to their Games Festival will be going on sale this week.
In this 4-day festival extravaganza, the gaming community can come together to explore the ever-growing world of indie gaming, with over 150 developers from around the world in attendance.

Purchasing a wristband will give you access to the Games Festival Showcase, an Awards Night, the Festival Stage and more. Fortress Sydney will be the main venue, with parts also hosted at Eddy Multi Space and Mercure Sydney.
Local publishers Playside Studios and League of Geeks will be there, alongside many more, so if you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with game developers, now is your chance at this event.

Special mention to Chibig who will be in attendance, as Mika and the Witch’s Mountain is a cozy indie game in development that I am so excited for. If you get the chance to check this game out and give it a go, make sure you think of me while doing so.
SXSW Sydney is on from October 15th to 22nd, with the Games Festival running from October 18th to 22nd.

Furthermore, if you’re not a video game player but love your tabletop games, the Tabletop Expo is the place to visit for all things traditional board games, card games and tabletop RPGs with demos in action and the chance to purchase from retailers.

The Festival Stage will host live gameplay, performances and special screenings. The Game Awards, hosted by Tom Cardy, will be an evening celebrating the best on show and the Charity Marathon Stream will play home to a part talent show, part live stream and part stage show including local content creators to raise money for SXSW Sydney charity partners.
How much are SXSW Games Festival tickets and where can you buy them?
Early Bird Game Festival wristband pricing is $165 – and it’s important to note that this wristband is separate from the SXSW Badge.
The wristband grants you access to strictly, the Games Festival, whereas the Badge grants you access to all SXSW has to offer.
