With Gamescom just around the corner, it’s time to take a sneak peek at what we can expect from the show this year!
Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live
The event will be hosted in Cologne, Germany. Fortunately, we won’t have to break the bank to catch the show live as the showcase will be broadcasted online on “The Game Awards” YouTube channel or Twitch Channel.

The live show will commence on the 23rd of August at 4:00 am AEST / 6:00 am NZST, so set some early alarms!
Geoff Keighley, the creator of The Game Awards, has revealed in a recent tweet an exciting lineup that players can expect from his fourth Gamescom Opening Night Live ceremony.

Though there have not been any major surprises revealed, Keighley explained in an interview with Video Games Chronicle, that “This year’s ONL is less about announcing brand new projects, and more about giving fans updates on some of the biggest games due out over the next year.”
Keighley has also teased a Twitch drop that will be available to viewers and eligible creators for the event.
Into the Infinite: A Level Inifinite Showcase
Level Infinite will once again be returning to Gamescom in 2023, in their first independent digital showcase. The show will reveal exclusive updates, feature first-look trailers, and announcements from Level Infinite and Tencent’s Global Partner Studios.
Catch the show on their YouTube or Twitch channels on the 24th of August at 3:00 am AEST / 5:00 am NZST.
The showcase has confirmed a handful of games such as:

Future Games Show
GamesRadar’s Future Games Show is returning at Gamescom 2023, with a 70+ minute broadcast that will be featuring a solid lineup of over forty games as well as eight exciting world premieres.
The show will also bring back a VR showcase, and a ‘Ones to Play’ segment dedicated to games that have playable demos to check out.
The 2023 FGS will be hosted by Erika Ishii and Troy Baker, co-stars of the recent Stray Gods. The show will be accessible on YouTube and Twitch to watch on August 24th at 4:00 am AEST / 6:00 am NZST.
FGS also welcomes new streamers and creators to co-stream the showcase via their co-streamer program!
Awesome Indies
Super Crowd’s 2023 Awesome Indies showcase will be hosted by BBC journalist Shay Thompson and is expected to be 90 minutes long. Viewers can expect to see some new game announcements and reveals!
Super Crowd are the regular organisers of Gamescom’s Indie Arena Booth, a shared developer booth that showcases a selection of the most creative and innovative indie games from around the world.

You can catch the Awesome Indies 2023 showcase on August 24th at 4:00 am AEST / 6:00 am NZST. The Gamescom’s official YouTube Channel will stream the event as well as the Indie Arena Booth Twitch Channel.
Xbox At Gamescom 2023
Rather than a larger conference-styled showcase, Xbox has organised ‘Live from the Showfloor’ streams which will be spread out across the three days of Gamescom.
In these streams, Team Xbox will take a deeper dive into highly-anticipated games at Gamescom 2023, including gameplay, developer chats, as well as community segments. Specific timeslots have not been confirmed but will be announced on Xbox social channels closer to the event.
Tune in to their YouTube, or Twitch channels to watch live, there’ll be streaming from August 24th to August 26th.
Xbox Fanfest at Gamescom 2023
Xbox will also be hosting a virtual event on Twitch which will include community segments such as Xbox FanFest trivia giving a chance to viewers all over the world to win prizes.

Panic Games Showcase
A short and sweet 20-minute broadcast highlighting the future of Panic games publishing through a roadmap. Including a look at unannounced titles, behind the scenes, and more of ‘Nour: Play With Your Food’, and ‘Despelote’.

Panic is known as the publisher of Untitled Goose Game and Firewatch.
