The Elder Scrolls: Castles offers a fresh take on the beloved series, focusing on castle management and featuring a unique, more cartoonish 3D aesthetic.
Players engage in various activities from managing resources like food and oil, completing quests, and slaying dragons, to defending their keeps from sieges.

Notably, the game diverges from Bethesda’s previous management sim, Fallout Shelter, by allowing more hands-on customisation of the castle’s layout. This includes extending rooms, building walls block by block, and selecting furnishings and workstations that can be upgraded for efficiency.
While the game does feature microtransactions, players can expect rewards and ‘packs’ similar to lootbox mechanics, offering a range of items from outfits to speed potions.
