Broken Roads is an upcoming RPG set in post-apocalyptic Australia that looks extremely promising.

Taking inspiration from old-school classics like Fallout 1 & 2 and Planescape: Torment, Broken Roads places a heavy emphasis on the complex moral compass of your player character and how your choices impact the story.

Rivers got his hands on the game and spoke with the Audio Lead & Composer, Tim Sunderland. Look out for our extended preview of the game soon.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is playable at the Nintendo’s PAX Booth and Rivers checked out the demo.

He was really impressed with the beautifully flowing animation, satisfying platforming mechanics and the wide range of combat options that kept the entire gameplay experience engaging.

After being somewhat wary of this shift, it seems that the return to Prince of Persia’s 2D roots are shaping up to be a wise move for the long-running series.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown releases on Switch, PC, PlayStation and Xbox on January 19

Brickman has done it again. Ryan McNaught and his team has created a huge LEGO Sonic for PAX!

It’s all to celebrate Sonic Superstars, releasing October 17th.

Rivers and I checked out their demo and had a great chat to Nadim Haddad, one of the designers behind the game.

There’s more to PAX Australia than just the Expo Hall. At the Speed Running Stage, highly skilled gamers are blitzing through classic games to raise money for GameOnCancer.

Rivers got transfixed watching a run of Crash Bandicoot: Warped that left him feeling extremely inadequate about his own skills.

There will be speedrunners showing off their moves all weekend, just outside the Main Theatre.

Just played the Bears in Space demo! It’s a lengthy look at this wild action adventure. Do recommend checking it out.
