The Direct will focus on the next season’s release of Nintendo Switch games. Here are a few that we may see during this direct:

  • Super Mario Bros. Wonder: We have already had a good look at the game during Nintendo’s previous direct presentation in August. But who knows, we may have another surprise reveal about the game or another fun trailer to enjoy. Due to release on the 20th of October.
  • WarioWare: Move It!: Releasing in November, Wario’s new game features over 200 microgames. Players will move and shake their way through challenges with their Joy-Cons. You can play local co-op with up to four players in party mode.
  • Super Mario RPG: Mario’s first role-playing adventure from 1996 on the Super Nintendo is being remade for the Nintendo Switch, announced during Nintendo’s June Nintendo Direct.
  • Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon Remaster: Announced during Nintendo’s June direct, this is the fourth instalment in the Luigi’s Mansion series. This game has Mario’s brother at the centre of the action, with Luigi facing off against spooky ghosts and ghouls from the franchise.
  • Detective Pikachu Returns: Detective Pikachu is an adventure game in which players control Tim Goodman as he works together with Detective Pikachu to solve various mysteries. Highly anticipated by Pokemon fans, it’s likely we’ll get another look at this Pokemon spin-off sequel.
  • Untitled Princess Peach game: Princess Peach will star as the main character in her own new game. This was announced during the June Direct as a 2024 release.

There are likely to be a few other potential candidates, as well as a possible unexpected curveball as fans hold out for a potential F-Zero revival. But stay tuned, it won’t be long until the Nintendo Direct is here!

You can tune in to the Direct live on Twitch, or YouTube.
