There are many sidequests in Yes, Your Grace 2: Snowfall which came out recently, and it took a couple of playthroughs to figure out how to help the Witch Alena fall in love with General Stan, your true OG Agent. It all kicks off in Chapter 3, Week 5, when Stan shows up as a petitioner with a request: he’s in love with the witch Alena and needs your help to win her heart.
Step 1: Start the conversation
Speak to Stan in the Council Room to unlock his quest. He’ll confess his feelings for Alena and ask for advice. Go talk to Alena afterwards — ask her if she needs help with phials. She’ll refuse but hint there’s something on her mind. Follow up with her next week, and she’ll reveal she wants to go to Bard school. Not related but okay. This actually unlocks Alena’s sidequest, so it gets a little messy.

Step 2: Support her dream
Once Alena opens up, talk to Stan again. He decides to make her a Soothing Poultice to help with her voice — you’ll need to gather 10 herbs through regional exploration (you might already have enough). Meanwhile, to support her school application, you’ll need 5 Gold and must help her pass the interview application with these answers:
- Say you’re a fast learner
- Tell them you’ve played in a local theatre
- Say you want to follow your heart OR Torlando is a friend of ours
Unfortunately, lying is the only option because I tried to be honest and got rejected. It works if you lie for all the answers too i.e. saying you can read sheet music but she actually can’t.
Next week, Alena gets her results — she’s in! But she also admits she has stage fright. You’ll need to buy a Face Cloth to help her overcome it.

Step 3: The Potion and the Audition
Once the Face Cloth is delivered, check in with Stan to see if the potion is ready. This triggers a short cutscene and upgrades Stan. Alena heads off to audition, and she’ll be unavailable for two weeks.
In Chapter 5, Week 3, you’ll get a letter: Alena failed the audition. She’s crushed. But before the dust settles, Velek shows up with word of a Stone of Fate — a mythical artefact that grants skill. He wants to bring Alena along, and Stan insists on going too.

Step 4: Into the Unknown
Pass the law “An Extra Pair of Hands” to send Alena, Stan, and Velek together. Then spend 4 Supplies to explore the Cliff of Missteps. You’ll get a few choices, but the obvious option? Send Alena and Stan in together. They don’t find the Stone, but… something definitely happens.
Over the following weeks, Alena gradually opens up about the trip. By Week 6, she finally shares how she feels about Stan. Check in with Velek and Stan to complete the scene. Proceed to the next Week to resolve the whole menage a trois. Sort of.

Step 5: Sealing the Deal
In Chapter 6, Week 4, you’ll unlock a campfire scene. Sit in the seat for General Stan before Alena’s performance. Do that, and voilà — they’re officially together.
Congratulations — you just made medieval matchmaking magic happen.
