Animal-saving adventure game, Creatures of Ava was revealed during Thursday’s Xbox Partner Preview. As a terrible infection ravages the planet of Ava, you’ll need to use your flute to lead animals to safety – Pied Piper style!
There’s no traditional combat within the game, instead, Vic wields the power of the Nafitar, a magical staff, that cleanses infected creatures and allows her to build relationships with them.

The locals of Ava communicate through music and are deeply connected to the land and all of its lifeforms. Vic must learn the traditions of the native people in order to survive on this strange new planet.
Being handed a flute was not what she expected, however learning to play the instrument proves essential for communicating with the creatures of the planet. While exploring the colourful alien world, Vic uses music to seek help from creatures to help solve puzzles.

Creatures of Ava is shaping up to be a unique action-adventure with some interesting creature-taming mechanics. I’m looking forward to learning some flute later this year!
It’s set to release sometime this year on Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will also come to Game Pass at launch.
