Fresh off being named Critical Role’s newest Dungeon Master, Brennan Lee Mulligan has announced he’s heading to Australia.

The iconic game master is set to entrance Aussie audiences in a special Endless Dungeon live show.

He’s also making his way to SXSW Sydney for a special keynote appearance on October 13th.

This week, I had the chance to catch up with Brennan Lee Mulligan to get all the goss on what fans can expect.

“It’s going to be a big month. It’s wild. But it’s, you know, it’s it’s such a gift,” he said.

Mulligan keynote speech will focus on the things that have truly surprised him in the industry.

“It’s interesting to get into the keynote sort of element of it because, a very natural part of myself is, I don’t want to be held out as an expert or authority on anything,” he told QD.

Mulligan’s Endless Dungeon

Mulligan’s first Endless Dungeon show is being held in Melbourne on October 13th, followed by Sydney on October 15th.

But what is Endless Dungeon, and what can Australian audiences expect?

“This dungeon is set in an endless, labyrinthine maze filled with the boundless, absurd ecosystems of dungeon crawling, but filled with, like, the civilisational aspects of that,” he explained.

Joining him on stage is a stellar Aussie cast, including Jordan Raskopoulos, Tom Cardy, Demi Lardner and Zac Naoum.

“The people I’m playing with are some of my favourite content creators, some I’ve never got a chance to meet in person,” Mulligan said.

I know all of them by either reputation or literally as a consumer of their work and art and media and comedy. So I could not be more delighted,” he said.

What else is on the menu?

Being his first time in Australia, Mulligan also says he’s excited to try our traditional cuisine.

“I want like the greasy spoon Australian experience. I don’t want the high and mighty, I want the downhome,” he said.

No doubt meat pies and a Melbourne latte are o the menu.

Perhaps, with Mulligans help, the “Parmi” vs “Parma” debate can finally be settled… His advice is to do what the New Yorkers do and drop the vowel: “Chicken Parm”.

Mulligan expressed a great love for Australia, the recent father sharing that an iconic Aussie show is getting a good run in his household.

“If you think Bluey is not on in this house 24 seven, you’re dreaming!” he said.
