Broken Roads, the post-apocalyptic RPG set in an Australian wasteland, has been hit with a delay to early 2024.
The game, which takes heavy inspiration from old-school computer role-playing games, was originally set to release November 14th on Xbox and PC.
According to a statement from developers Drop Bear Bytes, the delay is “to allow for additional polish time and QA manpower plus resources to ensure a higher quality bar for the thousands of permutations that can arise”.
I got some hands-on time with a build of Broken Roads during PAX Australia 2023. As I said in my preview, “I’m a huge fan of the first two Fallout games and this feels like a revival of what made those games successful, but with an Aussie twist that I can’t wait to see play out”.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more information about the release plans for Broken Roads as they emerge in the near future.
