Twinkleby is an upcoming decorating and designing cosy game from Swedish devs Might and Delight (the folks behind Book of Travels and Tiny Echo).
Imagine if MakeRoom and The Sims had a baby, but that baby lives on a floating island where you are both interior designer and God. That’s Twinkleby (Twinklebaby?).
Twinkleby is launching September 23rd on PC via Steam, Mac, Linux, and yes — full Steam Deck support. Bless.
The game plonks you down on a dollhouse-style floating island where you decorate and furnish little dioramas. Your designs lure in quirky Neighbours, who you then have to feed, entertain, and generally babysit like a benevolent overlord. BUT — and this is where Twinkleby earns my respect — you can also yeet them straight off your floating paradise whenever you get bored. Along with any ugly furniture mistakes. Bon voyage, Susan.

The trailer also teases shifting seasons and a sweet little photo mode so you can get those cottagecore wallpapers locked and loaded. No timers, no rush, no pressure — just vibes (and maybe the occasional evictee hurled into the starry void). Honestly, that’s the exact kind of chaos-meets-cosy I need right now.
Wishlist Twinkleby if you too dream of becoming a designer/dictator of tiny island folk. Not long to wait!
