PAX Aus 2023 is running from Friday, October 6 – 8, and is going to be absolutely huge and the schedule is long. The event spans across the whole exhibition centre, with a splash of everything from indie games, free play areas, tabletop gaming and more.
Even more excitingly, big dogs Nintendo and Bethesda will be gracing us with their presence this year.

What’s on offer from Nintendo at PAX Aus?
Detective Pikachu is launching on Nintendo Switch on October 6, which also happens to be PAX Aus day 1! We can only hope Nintendo has something fun planned there.
Nintendo is also returning with the Splatoon 3 AU/NZ Championship 2023 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe AU/NZ Championship which will come to head in the PAX Arena.

What’s on offer from Bethesda at PAX Aus?
We don’t know too much about Bethesda’s plans for the convention but the excitement building around their presence is palpable.
We’ll no doubt see some Starfield action, perhaps a sprinkle of Redfall and Fallout 76.
What can we find on the PAX Aus main floor?
The expo floor will feature gamer favs like Devolver Digital, Audio-Technica, ASUS ROG and more, so definitely take a wander to gander at all that’s on offer.
It’s always a good time checking out all the new and upcoming indie games on offer.

We’ll also see tabletop heroes Magic: The Gathering own piece of the action. MtG will be hot of the release of the upcoming Wilds of Eldraine set, and moments away from launching their Doctor Who collaboration.

Dungeons & Dragons is also confirmed to be attending, but it’s unclear in what capacity.
A lot of the deets surrounding PAX are very hush-hush, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out what fun awaits. As it stands today, the three-day passes have sold out. There are still day passes available, so snag them while you can!
I believe PAX is truly worth the price tag, with multiple ways to play, shop, watch and hang out.

See you there, gamers.
