Video games releasing in June 2024

You know it’s going to be a super quiet month for video games when the most anticipated release is DLC… Though I suppose that’s a bit unfair as DLC for one of the best games of all time, Elden Ring, would dwarf most AAA titles regardless.

The quieter period is propped up with the myriad of video game showcases dominating the start of the month. We may ever see some games shadow dropped during showcases that will bolster the June release schedule!

Here are our most anticipated:

Kingdom Hearts series

If you’ve never heard of Kingdom Hearts, I honestly don’t know where you’ve been the last 22 years! Exclusively playing games on Steam maybe? Well, now you’re in luck players, the series is set to finally launch on the Steam store!

But what is Kingdom Hearts you ask? Well imagine if daddy Final Fantasy knocked up mommy Disney, the resulting baby would be Kingdom Hearts; an epic RPG action-adventure filled to the brim with cameos from Final Fantasy and Disney alumni! While the characters and worlds are friendly and approachable, the story is surprisingly deep and complex, making it an experience both adults and kids can enjoy.

Picking up these three games will allow you to experience the entire core story line and MOST of the spin-off titles as well.

The series comes to Steam on June 14th. May your heart be your guiding key.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

We’ve let FromSoftware cook for two years, and now we finally get to eat! Shadow of the Erdtree is a massive DLC expansion for one of the best games of the generation, Elden Ring.

One of the biggest strengths of the 2022 smash hit, was its insane roster of fearsome enemies and punishing bosses. Shadow of the Erdtree looks to be bringing more of that in spades!

The DLC will feature an expansive new map with plenty of dungeons to explore and mysteries to uncover. There will also be stacks of new weapons, equipment, weapon skills and magic for you to sink your teeth into.

You can revisit the Lands Between on the 21st June.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble

A new Super Monkey Ball game is almost here! In Banana Rumble, Join AiAi the monkey and friends, for some ball-busting fun! Hurtle through hundreds of new stages in your gatcha-like capsule, picking up bananas by the boatload. You can even customise your character and ball with over 300 cosmetic items.

Bounce into Adventure mode solo, or in 4 player local multiplayer, and hunt for mysterious artifacts that just might lead you to the Legendary Banana! There’s also a 16 player online mode, where you can compete with friends and finally find out who is the top banana!

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble rolls onto the Nintendo Switch on the 25th of June.
