Another major publisher pulls out of E3 2023

The question is; which video game companies left are actually attending E3?

The E3 show floor in Los Angeles is already looking bare with no Xbox, no PlayStation, and no Nintendo.

The expo is scheduled for June 11 – 16 this year.

Sure, Xbox will hold a Game Showcase event online on June 11, scheduled around E3, but they won’t actually be there.

Ubisoft said they were, but that’s changed quickly. The gaming giants have confirmed they’ll no longer be attending what was once the gaming event of the year.

In a statement to VGC, they’ve said they’ve decided to move in a different direction.

“While we initially intended to have an official E3 presence, we’ve made the subsequent decision to move in a different direction… We look forward to sharing more details with our players very soon.”

It comes as no surprise, really. After PlayStation pulled the pin on E3 in 2019, everyone else seemingly followed suit.

Ubisoft has quite a bit lined up, starting with Skull and Bones and Assasins’s Creed: Mirage – both expected to release this year.

But Ubisoft fans needn’t fret – we can expect a standalone Ubisoft Forward event in the lead-up to E3.

We’ll bring you more updates on E3 and Ubisoft as they happen.
