Happy Star Wars Christmas, all! We’ve woken to a stack of awesome Star Wars pressies, including three new films and a new trailer for Ahsoka.
Ahsoka is shaping up to be one of the coolest live-action Star Wars additions ever, after a new trailer was unveiled at Star Wars Celebration Europe.
Dave Filoni’s upcoming TV show stars Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, as well as a cast of favourites brought to life from the animated Star Wars: Rebels series.

From the trailer alone we saw Rebel heroes Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren and everyone’s favourite droid; Chopper. There was also a little hologram Ezra Bridger!
In The Mandalorian, we recently saw Zeb brought to live in live action – fingers crossed we see him pop up in this new series too.
Ahsoka is coming to Disney+ in August, check out the new trailer below.
One of the biggest surprises of the day was Daisy Ridley returning in a new film set 15 years after Rise of Skywalker.
The film will be directed by academy award winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness, Saving Face) and will feature now Jedi Master Rey and the birth of the New Jedi Order.

Could we see John Boyega return as Jedi Master Finn? Will we see force ghost Ben Solo?!
Who is the big bad this time around? ‘Somehow, despite all we did and the millions sacrificed, The Emperor has returned, again!’ Imagine that…
Let’s hope they’ve learned from the last trilogy (don’t get me wrong, I love them – but there’s no denying it was a mess) and can produce an incredible follow up to tie everything together.
While it wasn’t once referred to as episode 10, we just call it as we see it. The untitled film is expected to release in 2027.
Two more Star Wars projects were announced, with Dave Filoni directing a new Mando-verse film that’s expected to close out all of the interconnected stories across The Mandalorian, Ahsoka and The Book of Boba Fett.

And finally, James Mangold (Logan, Ford v Ferrari) is directing a film that will focus on the “dawn of the Jedi”, 25,000 years before A New Hope.
There’s not too much detail about these new films just yet, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated!
And finally we had confirmation that Disney+ series The Acolyte will be coming in 2024.
This series is set 100 years before the prequels and towards the end of the High Republic era.
Details are still scarce about the series, but we expect it to follow a dark Jedi, the Acolyte, in a time when Jedi were at their peak.
Fans can look out for more Star Wars news to come, with an all-new trailer for EA Star Wars’ upcoming video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor expected tomorrow.
