After the stunning 13-minute gameplay trailer at the PlayStation Showcase last month, we didn’t expect to see Spider-Man 2 pop up again so soon.
Summer Game Fest put on a show, with a release date, cover and concept art reveal.
October 20. Save the date, apply for a holiday, get your ‘sick note’ ready.

Pre-orders go live in a few day’s time, with three editions to choose from:

Standard edition, which is just the game.

Digital Deluxe edition, which includes the game as well as 10 unique suits (5 each for Peter and Miles). As well as 2 additional skill points, Photo Mode frames and stickers.

Collector’s edition, which had everything from the Digital Deluxe Edition, a steelbook case, and an epic 19-inch statue of Peter and Miles duking it out with Venom himself.
If you have deep pockets and a love of Spider-Man, this might be the one for you.
No matter what edition you pre-order, you’ll get access to early unlocks of the Arachknight Suit for Peter and Shadow Spider Suit for Miles, which come with additional color variants.
I can’t wait to zip through the city on those web wings!
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available for pre-order on June 16 for a PS5 exclusive release on October 20.
