Here’s what we know about Shadow of the Erdtree

Elden Ring enthusiasts will recognise the location, cocoon and hand in the opening moments of the trailer, which was the backdrop for one of the toughest enemies in the main game, Mohg the Lord of Blood.

Messmer the Impaler – I wonder how he got that name?

Inside that cocoon is Empyrean Miquella, the brother of the Malenia, Blade of Miquella, who drove many a player to tears two years ago. Well, now that guy is beckoning the tarnished on a new adventure in The Land of Shadow — the name alone has my palms sweating!

Shadow of the Erdtree will see players exploring a completely new world, but freely able to travel between The Land of Shadow and The Lands Between.

Seems like a cheery enough fellow.

One of the biggest strengths of Elden Ring was its insane roster of fearsome enemies and punishing bosses. From the trailer, we will be getting more of that in spades!

The DLC will feature an expansive new map with plenty of dungeons to explore and mysteries to uncover. There will also be stacks of new weapons, equipment, weapon skills and magic for you to sink your teeth into.

When can you play Shadow of the Erdtree?

You can pick up the highly anticipated DLC on June 21st! So not too much longer to wait!

Can’t wait to fight this guy in-game.

Bandai Namco also announced new base, premium and deluxe editions, as well as a limited collector’s edition that comes with an epic 46 centimeter statue of new boss, Messmer the Impaler.
