Magic: The Gathering: First-look at Fallout ‘Universes Beyond’

Gear up, fellow wanderers and spell-slingers! Bethesda and MTG have shared the first cards of the upcoming Universes Beyond Magic the Gathering set: Fallout.

Magic: The Gathering – Fallout features four pre constructed 100-card Commander Decks: Scrappy Survivors, Mutant Menace, Hail Caesar, and Science! Each deck blends the essence of Fallout’s narrative and settings with the gameplay mechanics of Magic. And card art that’ll whisk you straight to the Wasteland without the risk of radiation.

Ever fancied leading your very own Securitron army with Mr. House at the helm? Or maybe you’re more about that Vault life, diving into Saga cards that spill the beans on what went down in those bunkers? It’s all here, as juicy as a perfectly preserved pie. And they look amazing!

Magic: The Gathering – Fallout introduces ten new full-art basic lands that capture the post-nuclear wasteland. These lands are presented in both top-down isometric and third-person views, honouring the legacy of the Fallout series.

The set features a few variant types that have sparked a flame in my collector’s heart.

  • Pip-Boy Treatment – Giving 26 cards a unique twist inspired by Fallout’s iconic wrist-mounted device.
  • Fallout Borderless Vault Boy – Highlighting fan-favourite MTG cards adorned with full-sized art of Vault-Tec’s cheerful mascot.
  • Serialized Bobblehead – Limited to just 500 copies each, found in collectors boosters. With a special double rainbow foil finish and a unique serial number.

We also got an early glimpse at even more legendary Fallout characters coming to Magic: The Gathering: Preston Garvey, Frank Horrigan, Legate Lanius, and more.

As well as a promo card called “War Room”. Contact your local game store to see if they are hosting a launch party where these will be available.

When is MtG Fallout coming and how can I get it?

Come March 8, we’re all invited to the ultimate post-apocalyptic party. Both the commander decks and collectors boosters are available for pre-order at your local game stores.

I’m personally really excited to bring a little S.P.E.C.I.A.L. magic to my tabletop!
