It’s Black Friday, and with that comes gaming bargains! But with so many sales, with thousands of games on offer, it can get a little overwhelming. So, the team at Quest Daily has trawled the eShops to bring you our picks for this year.

Final Fantasy XVI is on sale for $68.97 on the PlayStation Store and $59 on Amazon; some massive savings for a phenomenal game. I gave it 10/10 in my review earlier in the year and said:
“That’s what Final Fantasy is to me, fantastic characters and story, and boy has FFXVI delivered on both in spades. I’ve laughed, cried, shouted at my screen in shock, let out a “LETS F**KING GO!!!” during one of the most hype video game moments in recent memory.
FFXVI has taken me on an emotional journey that I won’t soon forget.”

Viewfinder and Goodbye Volcano High are $28.46 each on the PlayStation Store, a 25% saving.
Viewfinder broke my brain when I played it earlier this year. Its unique puzzles play with perspective and perception, that resulted in an experience I had never had before. A fantastic debut game from developers Sad Owl Studios.

Goodbye Volcano High is an enjoyable visual novel experience following the highschool drama of a group of teenage dinosaurs. It has a charming visual style and rocking sound-track! Even 3 months on I still find myself humming songs from the stellar OST!

You can save 30% and grab Disney Dreamlight Valley for $31.46 on the PlayStation Store. I’m currently working my way through this game with my 4 year old and she is obsessed!
There is so much to do and keep entertained with, and It’s packed full of the Disney characters we know and love… As well as some we love to hate! My daughter loves to experiment with ingredients and whip up delicious dishes for her Disney pals.
The only real downside is the lack of voice acting which means a lot of reading out loud for Mum or Dad! But it may be the perfect excuse to practice your impressions.

My top pick from PlayStation’s Black Friday sale is Resident Evil 4. At almost half price, it’s an absolute steal and one of the best remakes of the year. Horror fans can pick this one up digitally for $56.97. But you might be better off heading into JB HiFi where you can get the physical version for just $44.
Nintendo’s sale is always huge. But quantity isn’t always quality. Thankfully there are some great bargains on the eShop, including Cult of the Lamb: Cultist Edition for $27. I picked up The Talos Principal for just $6.75, to get me ready for The Talos Principal 2, which released earlier this month.

For Xbox gamers, Mortal Kombat 1 is hard to pass up. It offers an all new story and some incredibly gruesome fatalities. MK1 is 30% off for Black Friday, down to $76.96 on the Microsoft Store. It’s worth noting that you can pick this up at JB HiFi for just $59.
And for the PC gamers, the Steam Autumn sale is overwhelming — there’s so many great steals! My pick is Dave the Diver, on sale now for $23.99. I’m obsessed with this game and all it’s elements; diving, exploring, fishing, managing a sushi shop… There’s much fun to be had. Special shoutout to Star Wars: Squadrons, on Steam for just $2.49!

If you want to take a wander back in time to experience a game that had a cascading impact on every first person shooter that came after it, you’d be silly not to pick up Half Life for 90% off on the Steam store. At this price, even if it sits in your game library you can’t go wrong – give it a go, what’s the worst that can happen?
The Stanley Parable is a game that proves that video games can be purely narrative driven. It’s hard to summarise this game: it makes you laugh, it makes you groan, and then all of a sudden it makes you contemplate your own existence. All while you just simply walk around an office. You can pick it up for $10.75 on Steam.

Two of the best immersive action adventure games money can buy, Prey and Dishonored 2, are available as a bundle on the Steam store for 92% off! Developed by the legendary Arkane Studios, discover immaculately designed worlds; from elaborate mansions that unfurl before your very eyes to the dark secrets of an overrun space station. Both experiences will have you utilising mind-bending abilities, and solving intriguing puzzles. Don’t walk, blink.

Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way since it’s rocky launch. Many free updates as well as the release of the recent Phantom Liberty expansion have revived its reputation in the eyes of many. You can pick it up for $41.97 on the PlayStation Store or $44.97 on the Steam Store. At these prices, there’s never been a better time to visit Night City.
The thought of a Blizzard game being on Steam was once a pipe dream, but here it is, Diablo IV for $65.97; a killer price for a recent release. If you’re on the fence about it, it’s free to download and play until November 28, so you should definitely try before you buy.

Before the release of next January’s Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, catch up on the story of Ichiban and friends in 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The entry that shifted the series’ combat towards a turn-based RPG style, marking a great entry point into the sprawling series. At 80% off on Steam, this is definitely treading into impulse buy territory. (It’s worth noting that Yakuza: Like a Dragon is currently included in both Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra)
And two of the greatest puzzle games ever made are available on a portable platform for an amazing price! The value in the Portal: Companion Collection is incredible, a must-buy at $9.51 if you don’t already have it.
Happy bargain hunting!
