Followers are gathering for a Cult of the Lamb themed wedding in a hour! It’ll be quite the site to see.

10:45 AM
Nathanael’s hitting the indie gaming area and checking out some titles from our friend’s across the ditch.

Beyond These Stars was sold to me as “a city builder on the back of a giant space whale”. It’s a chill hex-based building sim where you balance resources and ensure your little people have what they need to survive.

However, Kewa the space whale is also its own character, and might have different plans to you, potentially putting your town in danger out in the cold reaches of space.
By investing in technology you can learn to communicate with Kewa, and work together to survive.

The Women in Gaming meet up saw people from all sides of the gaming world come together to listen to Rhiannen ‘DoomCutie’ explain how COAGG was born, and how you too can be in front of the camera!

The mingling was loud and proud as all guests took to chatting to each other about their gaming interests and what they’ve been up to. A fun morning had by all!

Fallout Cosplay meet up! Organised by Bethesda ANZ & Community run Vault 613. Community members could take part in trading their caps (literally!) for fan-made Fallout themed props!

More indie games!

Sam’s checking out In Death of a Partisan, where you play as a Soviet soldier who has just escaped the clasp of the German Wehrmacht.
With a thematic black and white colour pallette, your aim is to survive the occputation best you can.
With a specific focus on slow, steady gameplay, you’ll craft, hunt and evade the occupiers.

Nathanael’s playing Away From Home, an old-school RPG in the vein of Earthbound, with a twist – combat is entirely based on rhythm taps in time with the bumping soundtrack.
The pixel art is amazing, and the gameplay bounces between heartfelt small town story and rapid-fire dance battles.
Imagine if a JRPG and a rhythm game had a baby – that’s Away From Home. Coming out later this month.

Panels are always a highlight at PAX. They are a great opportunity to rest your weary legs after a long day of exploring the expo floor. Every year, Dan’s personal highlight is the Zelda Panel.

Today, Zelda Universe are talking about the actual Princess Zelda. With Echoes of Wisdom releasing recently, now is the time to discuss “Who is Princess Zelda?” No, she is not the one wearing green!
2:00 PM
Hundreds are lining up to check out Final Fantasy XIV and snag themselves an exclusive Moogle pin.

People of all ages are giving it a go — it’s a stand out at the festival and a great way to be introduced to the game.

PAX Together is a gathering of people celebrating a wide range of backgrounds, perspectives and experiences within gaming, especially from marginalised or minority groups.

“Having a safe space like this is something that is close to my heart and a welcome addition to what is already such an extraordinary event,” says Dan.
At PAX together you can sign up to learn how to play D and D, hang out with friends or play a selection of upcoming indie video games.

With a range of accessibility options available, the PAX together section truly invites everyone to be part of PAX Australia!
