Need some Christmas stocking stuffers? Go digital with these Nintendo Switch games for under $5 — a Christmas miracle!
Let’s take a look at what’s on offer in December 2024:
My Universe – PET CLINIC CATS & DOGS – $3.00
This reminds me a lot of Trauma Center on the DS which I was obsessed with, but on a cosier scale. Also I can finally live out my dreams of being a vet. Sale ends December 27th.
Wavetale – $4.50
Wavetale looks pretty cool, allowing you to zoom across the sea with your water-walking powers. You play as Sigrid, a young girl who is given this power by a mysterious shadow. Sale ends December 29th.
Railbound – $1.56
There’s over 150 puzzles in Railbound to solve. Connect railways to help everyone reach their homes in this cute train-themed puzzle game. I particularly like the graphics. Sale ends December 29th.

inbento – $1.50
I know I recommended Neko Bento last month but sue me. inbento puts a different spin on puzzle-solving lunchboxes, giving you more traditional Tetris-shaped seasoned rice balls. Grab it at this price before December 22nd.
A Juggler’s Tale – $2.25
This game gives me slight creeps because you play as Abby the marionette. However, it’s described as a puzzle platformer, set against a grim fairytale-looking world. Sale ends December 31st.
A Building Full of Cats – $4.49
This game isn’t even on sale, and the title describes exactly what it is: a game about finding cats in a building. I personally love spotting games so this is a no-brainer. Unfortunately it’s single-player – versus mode would be cool in my opinion.

What Comes After – $3.00
I’m really loving the anime vibe that What Comes After is giving. What Comes After is a side-scrolling adventure from the creator of Coffee Talk. Play as Vivi as she journeys to where people go after they die. Sale ends December 31st.
No Longer Home – $3.90
The artwork in No Longer Home reminds me of Untitled Goose Game, but the content is very different. No Longer Home is about two friends Bo and Ao graduating from university and preparing to leave their flat. A narrative-driven game, it sounds like it’ll be pulling on the heartstrings. Sale ends December 29th.
Cats Organized Neatly – $3.75
Now I know this might be a cop-out recommending another organising / cat game but it was a bit thin under the $5 mark this month on the eShop. Also I just really do like cats and organisation, which is why this tickled my fancy. Sale ends on January 12th.

Shipped – $1.50
Shipped is for up to eight players and is a party game where you compete in sea skirmishes! I’m thinking Sea of Thieves but with chibis. There’s a variety of game modes available, and isn’t Christmas the time for party games? Sale ends December 28th.
There are also some serious deals on the eShop this month that are over the $5 mark, but still a bargain. Including Overcooked! 2 for $9.37, the LEGO Harry Potter Collection for $8.99, and Hogwarts Legacy: Digital Deluxe Edition for just $24.98 — totally worth checking out if you have a better budget!
