Nintendo is unveiling more about the Switch 2… in April

It’s finally happened. After months of speculation and the leakiest boat we’ve ever seen in the gaming world, Nintendo has officially unveiled the successor to the Nintendo Switch.

Other than a close look at the design, the trailer doesn’t give a whole lot away.

Everything is bigger and the Joy-Cons now click onto the console magnetically.

There’s a short clip of a very pretty looking Mario Kart, but it’s unclear if this is simply Mario Kart 8 or the next game in the series. Damn it looks smooth, though!

Nintendo confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to play compatible current generation games, both physical and digital, but will also have its own exclusive titles.

We’ve now got a bit of a wait…

Nintendo is holding a Direct on April 2nd — no doubt unveiling some of the new titles on the way and a console release date. The broadcast time is TBA.
