The latest WWE 2K game has been announced alongside the news legendary WWE superstar John Cena will be on the cover.
On Tuesday, 2K announced the newest installment of the flagship WWE video game franchise developed by Visual Concepts, will be coming soon for PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
To celebrate John Cena’s 20th WWE anniversary, the 16-time World Champion and Hollywood icon will be featured on the cover of each edition of the game.
In a statement released by 2K, John Cena says gracing the cover is an honour.
“It is a pleasure to tell the story of my career through the WWE 2K23 Showcase,” he said.
“2K has done a fantastic job capturing and invigorating the WWE 2K franchise through this concept, and I am honored to grace the cover of WWE 2K23.”
What’s new in WWE 2K23?
2K Visual Concepts are shaking up the 2K showcase with several new features and upgrades.
Graphics is always the big, last years title already looked incredible so it’ll be interesting to see how far they can take it in 2023.
WWE 2K23 will include new game mode WarGames, expansions to marquee game modes, updated roster of WWE Superstars, and new gameplay mechanics – just to name a few.
WarGames is the big one – this game mode sees 3v3 and 4v4 single player or multiplayer matches inside two side-by-side rings, surrounded by a double-steel cage – chaos!
WWE 2K23 Deluxe Edition and Icon Edition are scheduled for worldwide release on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 via Early Access, followed by the Standard Edition and Cross-Gen on Friday, March 17, 2023.
