Guide: How to solve the direction microphone puzzle in Big Walk

Big Walk is filled with strange and wonderful puzzles to solve with your squad. When our group stumbled across a stage featuring six microphones, a chair and a pair of headphones, it left our little round heads thoroughly scratched. Thankfully there’s a simple solution, which we’re happy to share.

This puzzle can be found at coordinates “34, 12” on the map!

Big Talk: The aim here is to identify which microphone is active during each round. Every correct answer fills part of the meter in front of the chair. Fill the entire meter and you will complete the puzzle.

The stage is set for a big performance.

Start by choosing one player to sit in the chair, making them wear the sound-cancelling headphones hanging above it. This player will be responsible for listening and identifying the active microphone each round.

The remaining players should spread themselves between the six microphones. If you have three people, for example, each player can cover two microphones.

Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3…

Before beginning, test each microphone so the player in the chair knows what everyone sounds like and can clearly hear them through the headphones.

Once everyone is ready, take turns speaking into the microphones. Only one microphone will be active during each round. When the seated player hears a teammate through their headphones, they must let them know that their microphone is live. The player standing at that microphone should then activate the button in front of them.

Is this “The Voice?”

A correct answer will add progress to the green meter in front of the chair. Continue testing the microphones and selecting the active one until the meter is completely full.

What a performance!

Once you have filled the bar, confetti will rain down and your reward will be released. Congratulations, your team has conquered this acoustic challenge!

Big Walk is available now on PC via Steam, Playstation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
