It all begins in the Tokachi Range, where a mysterious gate sits to the south of the Shizunai Woods. After hearing about a Yokai in the area, head to the storyteller on the map to investigate.
The Spider Lily General
The Spider Lily General’s harrowing tale of grief isn’t for the faint of heart. To recap, the General was training with his young daughter when one day he kicked her with his katana. Her small cut got inflamed and she died of an infection days later. Nasty.
Once you’ve learned all about the Spider Lily General, make your way through the gate and up the dark, foggy pathway.

Here you’ll find the spooky and reportedly abandoned Tomigana Estate.
The gate to the Spider Lily General’s domain is behind four locks and Atsu will need four keys to get through.
The Pagoda
The first key is relatively easy to find, as you enter the main area head to the tall pagoda on the right.
The key is in the chest.
The general will then appear, thinking you’re his daughter, and you’ll have a quick chat. He’ll quickly (and scarily) disappears again.
The Graveyard
The next key is located in a graveyard, the pathway is near the pagoda key. You’ll spot some grave robbers, aka Saito Outlaws, take them out and climb the ladder to the next part of the graveyard.

More outlaws will be present along the path, but as you begin to take this second group on The General makes an appearance, slaughtering them and leaving Atsu unharmed.
The general is convinced his daughter is alive and he thinks Atsu is her. Little does he know… The Onyro is simply after some sick new armour.
The Southern Caverns
Next head to the Southern Caverns. As you approach, you’ll see an injured man by the entrance — the general’s latest victim. Squeeze through the gap, navigate around bodies, and climb and crawl through the cave.
Eventually you’ll come across a room used by a child. The general has left a note and a key here for his daughter, who used this space to hide from her father when she didn’t want to train.
The Maze
For the maze key, enter the maze and approach the area with the empty bamboo strike in the centre. There’s pathways surrounding you, but only one will unlock the way forward.
If you paid attention to the General’s tale, you would’ve learned that the Spider Lily General left red spider lilies in his wake. To find the correct way, simply follow the path with the red flowers.

You’ll need to do this three times before the bamboo strike will reveal itself alongside a note and key.
Unlocking the Tomigana Estate gate
Now you’ll have all four keys needed to unlock the gate. Head there, use the keys and go through.
There’s a closed doorway on the right — this is the way forward — but you can loot the house straight ahead first.
Head through the closed door, pass through the training ground and you’ll find another cave, this time it’s blocked. Grapple the wood and pull it down. Squeeze through the gap — now it’s time to face the Spider Lily General.
The fight is relatively easy, the Spider Lily General uses a single Katana and Kusarigama blades. But it’s the narrative here that stands out; he’s convinced Atsu is his daughter, and while Atsu tries to tell him otherwise, she plays into it and allows him to finally be at peace.
