Everything shown off at the 2023 Nacon Connect

I never knew Nacon as a video game publisher, so if that info is new to you… You’re not a alone!

Nacon is a French video game company that designs and distributes gaming accessories AND (turns out) they also publish games.

So that’s why we’re here – they had a showcase!

Here’s everything they highlighted at their recent digital event:

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

The Gollum game got a story trailer and it continues to look a little off.

The graphics and art style aren’t quite there for me and the idea of playing a Gollum stealth game isn’t particularly exciting.

Still, it’s Lord of the Rings so I’ll give it a chance.

The troubled game has had multiple delays since 2021 and still doesn’t have a firm release date, it’s slated for 2023 for now.

RoboCop: Rogue City

It looks and sounds as delightfully cheesy as the movies did back in the 80s and 90s!

Everything from the heavy, clunking footfalls and monotone dialogue of the big bot himself, to the violent gory combat!

Coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC September 2023.

Gangs of Sherwood

Gangs of Sherwood is a cooperative action game, that seems to mash steampunk with the legend of Robin Hood.

Big fan of the setting and the gameplay looks fun enough for a few nights of gaming with your mates. I will keep an eye on this one…

Releasing later this year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Ravenswatch

Ravenswatch, an action rogue-like set in a dark fantasy world. The gameplay overview shows fast paced combat, twisted fairy tale characters and a gorgeous art style; this one is ticking all the boxes for me.

Developed by Passtech Games who made the excellent Curse of the Dead Gods, this is my pick of the showcase.

Ravenswatch launches into Steam early access on April 6, 2023

War Hospital

War Hospital will have you take charge of a British field hospital in World War 1.

This management and survival game will be heavy on story and will require tough moral choices.

It all sounds pretty cool and unique, it definitely has my interest.

War Hospital is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC August 31, 2023.

Ad Infinitum

Another game set during The Great War, Ad Infinitum will put you in the shoes of a German Soldier, haunted by the horrors of war.

Terrible creatures, death traps, and insane mysteries await in this first person psychological horror.

The game looks great, but I certainly won’t be playing it alone at night!

Ad Infinitum is releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC September 2023.

Clash: Artifacts of Chaos

Released earlier this week, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos got a gameplay overview.

The combat looks compelling, the world design is pretty unique and there are some really cool mechanics (like the first-person rage mode).

But I can’t help but think the art style looks as if a ‘cartoon’ photo filter has been slapped on top of the whole thing.

Will be adding to my backlog to try out!

Out now on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC August 31, 2023.

TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3

A course from TT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 3 was shown off…

Look, while I might’ve spent the whole trailer hoping for a crash just so something interesting would happen, at least I had time to really appreciate the wonderful vroom vroom sounds.

While it’s not for me, I’m sure some fans of real life Isle of Man TT will be pulling out their wallets in due time.

Isle of Man TT is heading to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC in May this year.

Tour De France 2023, Tiebreak, Pro Cycling Manager 2023 and Rugby 24

Tour De France 2023, Tiebreak, Pro Cycling Manager 2023 and Rugby 24 all got grouped together for a quick tease.

Melbourne based developers Big Ant Studios are developing both Tiebreak and Rugby 24 – so we’ll be keeping an eye on those for sure.

All apparently launching throughout 2023.

Also announced, Train Life and Session: Skate Sim are both coming to the Nintendo Switch.

And Transport Fever 2 is available on consoles.

Well, I may not have known exactly who Nacon were before this showcase, but I sure do now!

Looking forward to Ravenswatch and RoboCop especially.
