A Holy Day for God of War Fans!

Is Spartan Raging with happiness a thing? That’s what I’m feeling right now after two God of War games were revealed… well technically four! At the recent State of Play, a remake of the God of War Greek Trilogy was announced to be in development, before a brand new game, God of War Sons of Sparta was shadow dropped. Yes, it’s out NOW.

Pixel-art God of War!? Take my drachma! God of War Sons of Sparta is a side-scrolling, 2D action platformer prequel, where you play a young Kratos during his brutal Spartan training. The canon story is narrated by OG trilogy voice actor TC Carson, and will delve into Kratos’ relationship with his brother Deimos.

The collab between Sony Santa Monica and Mega Cat Studios looks to bring intense 2D battles against a wide array of fierce foes from Greek mythology. Set before he is gifted the Blades of Chaos by Ares, Kratos will instead wield the classic Spartan spear and shield. Divine artefacts called ‘Gifts of Olympus’, will unlock new special attacks to unleash.

Best of all, it’s out RIGHT NOW for $44.95 AUD. That’s my weekend sorted!

There's also a deluxe edition available for $59.95 AUD.
There’s also a digital deluxe edition available for $59.95 AUD.

As for the God of War Trilogy Remake, it’s still in early development so we don’t know much, but we do know that TC Carson will be back to revoice Kratos! I can’t wait to go full bloody-rage against the gods of Olympus again!
