Exclusive | ‘We expect to be working on Fallout for a very long time’

With the Fallout TV series just moments away, anticipation for the next installment of the iconic gaming franchise is at an all-time high.

Speaking exclusively with Quest Daily, Todd Howard, Executive Producer at Bethesda Game Studios, hints at the future of the franchise, now in its 26th year.

“We’re always doing new Fallout stuff,” Howard said, suggesting that the next game will build upon the rich lore and themes established in previous titles.

Howard says the focus now remains on Fallout 76, which now features content from the Prime Video series in the game.

“You’ll see some show assets in Fallout Shelter. Now you’ll see that in 76,” he said.

“Right now our main Fallout development is on Fallout 76, just a huge community around that. We have a great update out. We have more coming this year,”

“Hopefully with the show being so, you know, being popular, we’ll see a lot of players coming into those games. But look, it’s a franchise we’ve been working on for over 20 years.”

“We expect to for a very, very long time,” he told Quest Daily.

While specifics remain under wraps, Howard’s emphasis on the ongoing development of the franchise suggests that fans can certainly expect exciting updates and new adventures in the beloved post-apocalyptic world.
