Ahoy, mateys! Quest Daily has the honour of revealing a new card from Disney Lorcana’s upcoming Azurite Sea set: the Galactic Communicator.
The Galactic Communicator is an Item card that costs 2 ink to play, with an ability that’s sure to help you weather any storm. Its Resource Allocation lets you banish the item and return a character with a 2 cost or less to their owner’s hand.
Galactic Communicator — Item

The card depicts the communicator used by Agent Wendy Pleakley during the hunt for Experiment 626 — also known as Stitch — in the 2002 film Lilo and Stitch. You can see Pleakey’s hand holding the communicator while spying on Lilo and Stitch on the beach.

Pleakey, now a former member of the Galactic Federation, reluctantly became Jumba Jookiba’s partner when he was forced to help capture Stitch. The one-eyed alien offered many moments of comic relief across the franchise.
Let’s break down Azurite Sea’s Galactic Communicator:
While this card may seem like a small splash in a big ocean, don’t be fooled! It’s a clever way to remove pesky low cost characters from the field, whether they’re small blockers or tricky support pieces. And what better way to send those scallywags back to their player’s hand than with a nod to Stitch’s galactic mischief?
The card Galactic Communicator, featuring in Disney Lorcana’s Azurite Sea set, is an Item card that costs 2 ink to play, is uninkable, and has the following ability:
Resource Allocation
For 1 ink and by banishing the item, you can return a chosen character with 2 cost or less to their player’s hand.
The primary value of this card lies in its utility as a means to remove low cost characters from the field. This can be particularly useful when an opponent has a small but troublesome character in play. By banishing the Galactic Communicator, you’re able to “bounce” this character back to their hand, which might disrupt their plans or force them to replay the card and spend additional resources.

Given that it can only affect characters with a 2 cost or lower, this card is more suited to control strategies that seek to slow down an opponent’s early game momentum.
The card offers flexibility as you can play it and keep it on the board until the moment arises. However, it’s a one time use card because it requires you to banish it after using its ability.
Comparison to Other Cards:
There are other cards that allow for character removal or manipulation. For example:
- Dragon Fire allows you to banish a character directly but comes at a higher cost. This is more permanent than the “bounce “ effect of Galactic Communicator.
Compared to these cards, Galactic Communicator has the advantage of being cheaper to use and is specific to controlling small characters. Like Dragon Fire, Galactic Communicator is also uninkable.
While it may not be as powerful as other removal cards, it can be a key tool in early game control strategies, and its low cost ensures it can fit into a variety of deck types.
