“It’s done.”
“Yes Mr Frodo”
“It’s over now.”
The quest is over.
Although in this case, instead of being destroyed, the One Ring has been found.
As part of their latest Magic the Gathering set, Wizards of the Coast released a Lord of the Rings collaboration, featuring a singular 1 of 1, One Ring that was locked away in a Collector Booster waiting to be found.

Wizards have now confirmed that it has been found, although the identity of the Ring Bearer is being kept secret and safe. Not surprising, given that multiple offers of over $1m have been made for the card.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the Darkness bind them.

Very few details are currently available, with no confirmed information or any details of when or where the card was found. Trading card grading company, PSA, have confirmed they received the card to be authenticated and graded, with the card receiving a 9/10 score.
This type of score is not uncommon, with perfect 10 grades being extremely hard to obtain for any card, as any tiny blemishes, print errors or marks will impact the grade.

For this card, however, the grading process is the way the card can be authenticated, providing potential buyers with the confidence they require that the card is indeed genuine prior to spending large sums of money to secure this unique piece of memorabilia.
Time will tell if more details come to hand, with many keen to see where the card eventually ends up.
In the meantime, prices of the Collector Boosters Boxes – which contain the Collector Boosters that could include the card – have seen an almost instant 20% drop in price! So if you’ve been holding off on purchasing, now might be a great time to head down to your local game shop to pick up some packs!
